The CDA certification process

Becoming a Certified Debtor Advocate is a structured journey designed to ensure you meet the highest professional standards. The process equips you with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation needed to advocate effectively for financially vulnerable Canadians.

  • Earn your certification by successfully completing five specialized modules. Each focuses on critical competencies for Debtor advocacy.

  • Gain a qualification certificate for each completed module, recognizing your progress and flagging your journey to full certification.

  • Adhere to the Canadian Debtors Association’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards, ensuring your practice reflects integrity and trust.

  • Engage in ongoing education to stay current in your field and uphold the Certified Debtor Advocate designation.
